Other benefits of this very cool and supereasy software…
When crewing on production with Anthony Robbins Events I have often been given the task of video capture – making sure we get those ‘magic moments’ on video to show on the big screens at the end of the event.
But that’s not all. When Tony puts on an event, he wants EVERYTHING recorded on audio and video, because it is all high value content which can be leveraged in multiple formats and in many different ways.
Every time you speak about your business or specialist subject you are delivering information, education and inspiration that is of value to whoever you are speaking to.
This could be something as simple as showing someone some how to use software on their computer or how to navigate your website.
Recording or filming yourself leverages your time (as you are already ‘working’) and instantly creates a valuable product you could sell, create multiple products from, use for marketing or even give away as a free gift to prospects or clients.
Do the ‘work’ once and you’ll reap the benefits over and over…
Products can make a massive difference to your income and your business growth. They are a way of creating multiple income streams.
Your product suite could simply be audio and video recordings of you doing what you normally do in your everyday business.
Your clients and prospects value your knowledge and experience, and the benefits of the information, education and inspiration they get from you.
They already give you their time and often their money to listen to what you have to say, and many more people could benefit by having access to you through your own product suite.
Think about the different ways you could capture the resources you already have inside you and share with the world everyday whenever you speak or write…and how all of what you share could easily be turned into high value information products…just by pressing record…
Every week we see more and more ‘slick’ marketing videos online..and people often ask me…
How do I create videos like that…what camera…microphone…software do I need… and how much does it all cost?
Video production can be broken down into various components, and as James Schramko has clearly shown in one of his products on internet marketing…. ‘It’s Not About The Website…’ (or in this case…the camera).
This is what I learned after 20 years in the music industry.
Some of the biggest hits and greatest sounding songs were created in a home studio on $5000 worth of crappy old second-hand equipment (which is nothing is studio terms) by someone who ‘didn’t know what they were doing’…. and at the same time musicians and producers who have million-dollar studios create songs that don’t even touch the charts…
The same applies in making video…up to a point.
The end result you get from a $5000 camera can be little different to a high-definition pocket camera like a Flip or Kodak Zi8.
It’s not about the camera – it’s about how you use it.
The power in most ‘high end’ marketing videos is not really from the high-quality video production, although that does add to the end result.
The real power is from the ‘storyboard’ – how it has all been put together.
– the content / script
– the ‘story’: the metaphors used to pull you in, the presenters’ own story and the carefully crafted message and thread throughout….
– the way the scenes have been constructed
I would highly recommend analysing any ‘slick’ marketing video scene by scene
– How has the scene been set in the opening frame?
– What is the pace and energy the music is creating?
– What is the pace from one shot to the next…the ‘pans’ (moving left to right or right to left)… when does it zoom in or zoom out and what effect does that have on you?
– When does the music stop and what happens in the script and dynamics of the presentation at that point?
– How does the presenter cut from ‘talking head’ to other shots and then back to the talking head.
– How is the ‘script crafted and is it authentically presented?
None of this has anything to do with the camera or any other potentially expensive kit.
Look at your chosen marketing video again, witness yourself viewing the movie and observe how you feel depending on what happens on screen, what she says, how she says it and how each scene is presented piece by piece.
Take note of every change in scene, sound, language, framing etc and ‘storyboard’ your own videos in the same way.
Free sound recording and editing software – highly recommended
A very simple program with high-quality results. I use this programme virtually every day to do
everything I need to do with sound and recordings quickly and easily.
You can download the software here
You will also need to download the LAME MP3 encoder which allows Audacity to export MP3 files.
1) ‘Right click’ on the above link and select ‘Save Link As’ or ‘Save Target As’
2) When you have finished downloading LAME, unzip it and save
the file on your computer.
3) The first time you use the “Export as MP3” command, Audacity will
ask you where the ‘lame’ file is saved. Find it and Audacity will do the rest!
If you have ANY recording/editing/audio related questions or problems, Ask The AVPro.
This was an event I really enjoyed on all counts, because it was really authentically heartfelt throughout.
All involved were in this to make a real difference in the lives of the participants and those who would benefit from the money raised.
It was one of those amazing events where everyone worked together beyond the normal comraderie and teamwork and the atmosphere and support amongst the crew was truly outstanding.
This event was about those who have ‘made it’, those who are successful, giving their time and energy for the good of others.

Here is a promo video from one of the many Chris Howard ‘Breakthrough to Sucess’ Events I have run with Chris and the team in the UK over the past two years.
I didn’t register this man’s true genius when I first saw him in the movie ‘The Secret’.
It was only when I had the privilege of working with him at ‘Akasha‘ 2007 that I really began to see how much this truly inspiring man had to offer the world…as my brain went into melt down listening for two hours to his relentless, speedy and entertaining delivery on Universal Law…all while doing my best to absorb what he was saying…and run production for the event!
Click here for access to the event recordings of his presentation.
Since that day whilst producing events for Triumphant Events UK, I have been truly privileged to have worked with John many times and sat for hours to be inspired, challenged and refreshed by his insights and words of wisdom.
Below you will find a few video clips from the Triumphant Events video archives…
Dr John Demartini – Memory & Imagination is a lie!
Dr John Demartini – Values… The Driving Force of Fortune
Dr John Demartini – The Value of Money
Dr John Demartini – Book of Wealth
I had the above picture taken by one of the crew at Anthiony Robbins ‘Date With Destiny’ event 2009 on the Australin Gold Coast… and the weirdest thing happened…
Let me explain.
My role at the event was to capture video highlight clips to be edited into a short highlights movie for the end of the show.
I had taken a couple of hundred video clips during the event which amounted to many, many hours of footage, and I thought…hey wouldn’t it be cool if I could find a clip of Lisa, my girlfriend, who was attending the event…and put her on my Mac laptop screen for the photo…
Yeah… how sweet… I know…
Anyway…I didn’t think I had any real chance of finding a clip of her in the hours of footage I had taken… especially since I hadn’t even seen her on camera for the past four days….
So just for fun… I clicked randomly on a video clip…. opened it up… and went to a random spot in the middle of the video….
…and there was Lisa in the middle of the screen…
‘What on Earth are we doing?’ was a truly moving and inspirational event I was fortunate to be involved in, overseeing audio visual production for this one day seminar.
The video below was shot at the London leg of the ‘What on Earth are we doing?’ World Tour, and shows one of the speakers, Roger Hamilton talking about ‘The Credit Crunch’…
– asking ‘what if we are misinformed?’
– explaining exactly what credit really is…
– and how when the banks ‘gives us credit’…. it is not us who gets it!
A refreshing and alternative education as usual from Roger…
I’d never heard Lynne Twist speak before I had the privilege of working with her at this eye opening event.
Lynne is absolutely dedicated to waking us up, all of us, to what it is that we blindly accept as the ‘norm’…
That which we do not question in everyday life, our unquestioned assumption, which when looked at in harsh reality is simply an unacceptable way to exist if you consider yourself in any way to be a conscientious being.
I highly recommend you tak a few minutes to watch this video. It will change the way you think today, and probably forever.
What on Earth are we doing? … It’s the question that needs to be asked now more than ever, and it has the attention of some of the most influential people on the planet.
After pledging $3Billion to find new ways to become more sustainable, Richard Branson said this …
… the Earth cannot wait 60 years. We need everybody capable of discovering an answer to put their minds to it today.
Even if you agree with that statement (which most thoughtful people do), where do we go to put our minds to this overwhelming task?
This event is the beginning of many answers.
It has been put together by some of the most powerful, connected and transformational leaders on the planet.
Join international speaking sensations Lynn Twist, Roger Hamilton and Marcia Martin as they discuss powerful ways we can change the world.
Our changing climate is placing our planet in peril – Barack Obama
Part One | This event begins with the Awaken the Dreamer Symposium
Consider our planet, consider her people, consider her natural resources, consider your involvement…
Where are we?
How did we get here?
What’s possible for the future?
Where do we go from here?
These are the questions that must be answered as humanity faces the real issues of our time, environmental degradation, increasing social injustice and a gnawing sense of dissatisfaction in the world we are creating.
What will it take for us to create a world that is environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just? …
The “Awaken The Dreamer” Symposium is a powerful experience that addresses this question.
Every single one of us can do something to make a difference. – Desmond Tutu, Nobel Prize Laureate
Resounding opportunities for change will be seen as an achievable possibility
You’ll see that environmental sustainability, spiritual fulfillment and social justice rather than being three separate issues are actually facets of one profoundly interconnected whole.
There is another super-power hidden here on earth. It is an unnamed movement, it is a far different & bigger & more unique than anything we have ever seen. – Paul Hawken, Bioneers Conference
Working together to make the shift …
This event was created by some of the most influential people on the planet who have worked side by side with people most effected by the issues we face. As it rolls out across cities around the world people are experiencing a renewed sense of empowerment to make changes that can shift humanity.
This event is changing the world by changing the dream of the developed world.
The experience of the symposium from a few past participants …
In a few short hours, a world that I thought was a complete mess that I could do nothing about – I now see as ripe with opportunities where I can actually make a difference. – Zoe Tryon, Symposium participant
I was not expecting the effect that this symposium had on me. I expected to be engaged and interested, but today I feel as if my life is on a different course. This has effected me profoundly. – J Concord, Symposium participant
We have to wean ourselves off our dependence on coal and fossil fuels. Our generation has the knowledge, it has the financial resources and as importantly it has the willpower to do so. – Bill Clinton
